  • Statistics Section: High-level counts of completion rates and task types.

5. Task Management

Task Types

  1. Project: High-level containers for organizing multiple requirements.
  2. Requirement: Specific features. Can have substatuses (Under Development, etc.).
  3. Bug: Defects. Must be linked to a parent Requirement.

Creating and Editing

  • Click “Create New Task”.
  • Status Logic: A Requirement cannot be moved to DONE if any linked Bugs are still open.
  • Attachments: Supports up to 5 files (max 10MB each).

6. Task Relationships

This view manages the hierarchy between Requirements and Bugs.

  • Left Panel: Select a Requirement to manage.
  • Right Panel: Link unassigned Bugs to the selected Requirement.
  • Constraint: Each Bug can only belong to one Requirement.

7. Version/Release Management

Organize your development cycle into tangible releases.

  • Unreleased: Active development; tasks can be added/removed.
  • Released: Locked; task assignments cannot be modified.
  • Management: Drag and drop tasks from the backlog into a version on the Version Detail page.

8. Views and Navigation

  • Kanban Board: Drag-and-drop cards between status columns.
  • List View: Tabular data with advanced sorting for status and priority.
  • Backlog: Quick access to all tasks not yet assigned to a release.

9. Best Practices

  • Granularity: Break large Requirements into smaller ones to track sub-status accurately.
  • Labels: Use tags like frontend or security to filter the Kanban board effectively.
  • Release Early: Create Version containers at the start of a sprint to keep the Backlog clean.
